The Orange Project weaves a family's dream into reality in the heart of New South Wales. Nestled in this vibrant country town the location provides the canvas for an extraordinary sustainable and innovative journey. Excited to build their dream family home on a 19-acre property, Eliot and Mysie reached out after realising the lengthy wait for a local builder. Opting for an Ecoliv custom prefab modular home ensured on-time delivery, a hallmark of our construction process.

The resulting home design seamlessly integrates with its surroundings, offering functionality, climate responsiveness, and remarkable energy efficiency, boasting a rare seven-star energy rating in the challenging climate zone.

Driven by a passion for low-impact, eco-friendly living, the family incorporated a 14-kilowatt solar panel system and a 40-kilowatt hour battery for both home and car power. Their geothermal heating system, extensive rainwater harvesting, and sustainable wastewater treatment underscore their commitment to a greener lifestyle.

The family are also adopt a regenerative agriculture approach embracing native revegetation, biodiversity enhancement and permaculture principles to become more self-sufficient. Their story goes beyond creating a wonderful family home; it's about actively making choices that pave the way for a more sustainable future for generations to come.
